Design Tip-of-the-month

When detailing the mouldings of a room interior, 

be they traditional or modern, don't wait until

the completion of construction to design your

window treatments.   Think in advance of the

nature of the covering, ie: decorative,

privacy, single or multi-layered and how

it will impact the appearance of the window

and the adjacent wall.   Contemporary drapery

fittings may require blocking or hidden support

within the wall.   Traditional fittings may impact the

depth of the crown moulding selected or the space

between the crown and window casing.  Be prepared!!!
